Walnut wood sourced from Northeastern Forests. Milled at a local sawmill and seasoned in the studio. Well-seasoned old stock. An incredibly hard wood. Finished with tung oil and hand-polished with beeswax.

Sustainably handmade in the Sourlands at the BAF Studio, overlooking the Amwell Valley. These small stools work well for around a kitchen island, table, small vanity/desk, or even as side tables. We love the smooth, rich walnut color and architectural leg design. The perfect chemical-free furniture for small spaces or to add a unique moment in your home.

Approximate Dimensions: Height 25 in, Seat 10in. diameter

About Brander Art Furniture

"BRANDER ART FURNITURE is an evolving dialogue between the daughter-father duo Nina Brander + Robert Brander about what a sustainable luxury product is and what it should be in a contemporary context. A place-based business and design practice, BAF prioritizes local materials, utilizes available tools + technology first and foremost, minimizes fossil fuel use, and strives to continuously improve practices as we work to develop a distinct design style and build heirloom-quality products.

The BAF studio is housed in the family barn, overlooking the Amwell Valley from the top of Sourland Mountain, surrounded by preserved fields and forest. Inspiration is drawn from the landscape, old stock materials from the barn stacks, and planks we prepare ourselves from trees that have died in the forest around the studio.

Starting BAF as daughter and father has been a delight we are happy to share. Check out the collection or contact us to learn more – custom and commissioned pieces are available." - BAF, info@branderartfurniture.com
