SEPT 20 & OCT 4 | Native Garden Design Workshop

For lovers of people, plants and native landscapes. Join us for a two-part series - Native Garden Design Workshop led by Landscape Designer, Diana Boric of Día LandPractice.

Together over LiLLiPies and beverages, we will explore the principles of ecological landscape design and how to support the biodiversity of our region. You will develop a foundation in landscape planning and the use of native plants best suited for your site, while coming together in community to learn and grow collectively.

Designed for the home gardener, seasoned steward or eager beginner, take one or both of these workshops to help you develop a deeper understanding and stay motivated in developing your native landscape. $45 per session or $80 for both.

Part I: Sunday, September 20
Land Reading + Planning
Learn techniques to observe and read the landscape, put pencil to trace paper and plot your next native garden project. This specialized course requires some pre-work. Once you register, you will receive an email to answer some questions and prepare some information so you can get the most out of our time together.

Part II: Sunday, October 4
Native Plant Communities
With an emphasis on understanding site conditions, habitat and long-term care, this session will steer you to choosing the right plants, for the right place and right time. Once you register, participants are encouraged to have a specific site in mind including size and sun/soil conditions so we help you develop your plant list.

Design support by professional Landscape Designer, gardener and Hopewell Valley resident with Masters in Landscape Architecture and Certificates in Ecology-based Landscape Practices and Interior Design
Small Group & 1-on-1 support
