Join us for our 2nd Annual Fall/Winter Community Clothing Swap for ethical fashion, music, neighborly vibes and a good time! Do you have nice clothing pieces that never see the light of day because they no longer fit or just don’t fit your life? Don’t let them languish in the back of your closet - bring them to the swap! Your unworn clothes could be someone else’s wardrobe staple! This is a one-for-one swap, with a limit of 10 items per person. Nearly new clothing only - bring what you would want to find! This year we are also allowing accessories and shoes as part of your 10 items.
Proceeds from the event are benefiting local non-profit, Seeds to Sew, an organizations that supports sustainable income for women and funds education for girls in rural Kenya.
During the swap we are excited to feature our favorite zero-waste vendors!
Green Vessel Refillery - Hopewell's new refill shop will be popping up for the event! Shop minimally packaged, plastic free goods, or bring your own jar to purchase some laundry or dish detergent.
Dress Reform Custom Dye Services - Custom dye is a great way to refresh your favorite garments! Shop Dress Reform's custom and reworked vintage or bring your own items for her to custom dye for you!
DIY Print Station - This year we are excited to offer a DIY print station for you to customize your Swap finds! We will have a selection of wood blocks for you to choose from and extra fabric scraps so you can really get creative! Sponsored by Wull & Oak.
Your registration includes:
Access to the Community Clothing Swap event (maximum 10 items)
10% off all Wull & Oak purchases for the day of the swap
A free piece of paper-bead jewelry from Seeds to Sew
Light refreshments & neighborly vibes
How it Works:
1. Purchase your registration (proceeds will be donated to Seeds to Sew)
2. Clean out your closet! Select a maximum of 10 women's clothing items. Items should be in good condition/nearly new, clean, and should be something you would be excited to find at a swap. Items in poor condition will be turned away.
3. Arrive by 11AM to check-in and drop off your clothing. The swap will start at 11:30AM. Come early for the best selection!
4. At the end of the swap, all unclaimed garments will be donated to the Hopewell Community Closet. Alternatively, you are welcome to take back your items if they are not claimed at the end of the event.
