Jun. 22 | Sustainable Floral Design Workshop

Join us for a morning of slowing down. During this workshop, Organic Flower Farmer, Marnie of Cool Breeze Flower Farm will share loads of local flowers and offer the opportunity to explore creativity in one of the most forgiving media– flowers! Have you ever picked up a bouquet of local flowers, but weren’t quite sure how to show them off in a vase or other container? At the workshop Marnie will share some basic floral design principles, always with the understanding that principles are made to be defied because every flower design should reflect your individual style!

Marnie will walk us through the creative process, provide education on sustainable floral arrangement alternatives to foam & plastic, and demonstrate techniques that will highlight the beauty of the chemical-free flowers and foliage. She will share insights on the revolutionary act of tending a growing flower farm that is friendly to native insects and fauna. We will provide all the materials you need to construct and design your own lush arrangement. Your registration will also include a latte from Aunt Chubby's Luncheonette, an assortment of breakfast pastries, and the absolute joy that comes with playing with flowers.

Marnie is the owner of Cool Breeze Farm, a local flower farm just over the hill in East Amwell, where all flowers are grown regeneratively with an eye to creating a vibrant habitat for birds, bugs, and flowers.
