Dec. 13 | Creative Happy Hour: Botanical Dye & Watercolor Workshop

Join us at Wull & Oak for Creative Happy Hour: an evening of tapping into your inner artist and connecting with nature through natural pigment and experiment. In this two-part workshop we will create plant-dyed ribbon and holiday greeting cards with watercolor pencil.

Chelsea of Earthencolor will guide us through the slow process of botanical bundle dying -  filled with unplanned discoveries, and organized imperfections. We will be using dried and fresh flowers and kitchen scraps to dye silk ribbon. You will leave with an enchanting new skill that encourages curiosity and a deep appreciation for nature. 

Jenny of Flame Tip Studio will guide us through the process of creating our very own Watercolor Greeting Cards using watercolor pencil. Watercolor pencils offer the precision of dry media, combined with the softness and fluid beauty of watercolor when activated with water, giving participants greater control in their creative process. Surrounded by natural objects for inspiration, we will practice observational skills while exploring brushes and techniques.

At the end of the workshop, you will leave with 3.5 yards of plant-dyed silk ribbon and 1-3 greeting cards thoughtfully designed by YOU making gift-giving even more meaningful this holiday season.

Each registration includes:
Plant-dyed Silk Ribbon - 1 inch (3.5 yards)
1-3 Watercolor Greeting Cards
Complimentary mulled wine, spiced cider, and charcuterie
